Something that caught my eye when reading this excerpt and that I could relate to is in passage 12. In the paragraph it says, "Why is it that in Witney's computer films and music videos effects are just effects, whereas in the hands of Vertov they acquire meaning?" I would have to strongly disagree with this because when I worked for a production company this summer I did a lot of animation, therefore I know a lot about special effects and effects in general. Each effect that you put onto your artwork means a lot and each little thing really does mean a lot. Whether it is from a drop shadow, different shades or color, or the countless amount of effect that they offer in After Effects. Everything little thing can change the outlook for the viewer, which is way effect have tremendous meaning.
